Dying Light 2: Stay Human Review – A Brutal and Exciting Zombie Apocalypse Survival Game

Games

If you’re a fan of zombie apocalypse games, Dying Light 2 is one title you don’t want to miss. The game is brutal, exciting, and full of surprises. You’ll have to use all your skills to survive in this hostile world, where zombies are just the beginning of your problems.

In this Dying Light 2: Stay Human review, we take a closer look at this intense new game from Techland. Dying Light is the sequel to Dying Light, a popular game developed by Techland and published by Ubisoft.

Dying Light features a new story in which you play as an infected zombie survivor who must fight his way through hordes of zombies, mutants, and other deadly foes in order to survive.

You start out with very little equipment – just your bare hands and a few scraps of clothing – and must scavenge for weapons, ammunition, and supplies if you want to make it through the night.

The zombies in Dying Light are incredibly fast and dangerous, so you’ll need to use all your cunning and agility to outmaneuver them. Dying Light also features an online co-operative multiplayer mode in which you can team up with friends to take on the zombie hordes together.

Dying Light features a dynamic day/night cycle, and during the night hours, zombies become much more powerful and dangerous.

Do you need to have played the original Dying Light?

Dying Light 2 features many gameplay mechanics that Dying Light was criticized for not having. Dying Light 2 made the game more like The Last of Us by introducing crafting to make weapons at workbenches found in safe houses, supply drops, and other areas.

Dying Light 2 has also improved upon the parkour by adding new moves that blend into combat sequences.

Dying Light 2 is unique because it’s an apocalyptic open-world game with zombie apocalypses like DayZ + GTA + Far Cry 3 but with raiding parties which are dynamic groups of survivors who give chase as players explore their environment as dangerous as some parts of Dying light 1

# In addition to survivors, Dying light had ‘crazy night’ zombies which function very similar to those from Night Of The Living Dead.

Dying Light had a larger variety of zombies including ‘crazy night’ zombies, slower and more vulnerable ones which are easily taken down by survivors (and easier for you to take them out), and faster ones that can run after players in the daytime when there’s less light.

Dying Light also featured an option to turn off the friendly fire so players wouldn’t accidentally shoot allies.

Dying Light had a similar mechanic except it was done by holding down the button to aim and then releasing to shoot which would force survivors to take cover.

Spoiler-free overview of Dying Light 2: Stay Human

Dying Light 2 is a brutal and exciting zombie apocalypse survival game that will keep you entertained for hours on end.

The zombies are relentless and the action is intense, making Dying Light 2 one of the best zombie games out there. The story is also very engaging, and you will want to see how it unfolds.

Dying Light 2 is definitely worth purchasing, and you will not be disappointed.

A Pilgrim is a person who travels from one town to another, delivering or collecting goods. You’re a courier and freelance desperado in this game.

You’ve been looking for your sister Mia all of your life, and that’s why you came to the City at the start of the game. The Peacekeepers, Renegades, and Survivors are three.

There are three factions that you must conflict with in the city: the Peacekeepers, the Renegades, and the Survivors.

It’s not necessary to commit to any of the 100 percent, but aiding one of them has consequences.

Survival horror parkour!

In the same manner that swinging around New York City in Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a gratifying experience, so is exploring the congested streets and packed rooftops of Dying Light 2. It didn’t start out like that.

In my first hours with the game, I thought the first-person perspective made controlling the frenetic movement difficult. I was, however, another hour or two later, happily ricocheting across the rooftops to avoid the swarms of undead milling down the streets.

While the skill tree isn’t huge, it does provide enough control over your style of play. The most basic abilities are the most powerful since they allow you to fall further without taking damage, sprint up a wall a few feet to grab that ledge that would have been out of reach, or pull yourself up on that ledge even if you’re out of reach.

In the game’s early stages, the protagonist is confined to a few select areas of San Myshuno (the city), but as you continue, more and more parts of it become accessible.

As the game progresses, you’ll be able to alter the environment in order to make traveling across the city quicker and easier, such as by adding zip.

Good. Bad. You’re the guy without a gun.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human, a sequel to Dying Light. They have a new brutal melee system that has been tweaked to allow for more creative kills and it is now possible to go prone in combat.

There are also new traversal mechanics that allow players to go from rooftop jumping to swinging from rails with ease. Dying Light 2 is one of the most anticipated games of 2019 and it’s easy to see why!

Swords, spears, clubs, war hammers, and other weapons have a distinctively different feel to swinging them based on their weight and if they are blunt or sharp. A hefty two-handed ax takes a lot of endurance to swing and really thunks into your adversary.

At times, the kills are ruthless; with a severed limb or head flying the animation begins with the limb being torn off and the stump continuing to gush as the body hits the ground.

I’m not sure whether it’s a bug or a feature, but bodies will occasionally continue spasming for several seconds after death. It’s quite disturbing as you wait to search for a corpse standing over it.

Although this is a significant improvement over the original Dying Light’s combat, I still ran into some problems. The most common problem I encountered was with one of the first combination attacks in the game that allows you to spring over an unconscious opponent and boot another. It’s a simple sequence that fails too often.

In the former example, a stationary range weapon may have an exceptionally long reach, allowing you to shoot from further away.

The latter occurs most frequently in small boss and big boss fights, but the reach of weapons can differ significantly during combat, making evasion impossible.

Overall, I’d say that the combat is solid and that once you’ve leveled up enough skills.

A hard day’s night

Dying Light 2 is the sequel to Dying Light, a brutal and exciting zombie apocalypse survival game. The original Dying Light was released in early 2015, and Dying Light 2 is set to be released in 2020.

The Dying Light franchise is developed by Techland, a Polish video game developer. Dying Light 2 takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where players must use their Parkour skills and various weapons to survive against hordes of zombies.

The first Dying Light was met with mostly positive reviews, and Dying Light 2 looks to build on that success. One of the main complaints about the first Dying Light was the lack of a truly cooperative multiplayer mode.

Dying Light 2 aims to address this issue with its new “Stay Human” campaign. Dying Light has sold over 15 million copies and is considered one of the most successful open-world zombie games.

Dying Light was critically praised for its fun gameplay and unique setting, which allowed players to explore a post-apocalyptic world without being restricted by traditional video game mechanics such as linearity or level design.

There are some frightening moments while wandering the streets of the City at night if you get the settings on your display correct and are simply using your flashlight’s cone of vision.

In addition, there is a ticking clock because you have been infected and must either ingest UV shrooms, take a UV inhibitor, or look for UV lights before time runs out and you turn into a zombie.

Dying Light is an excellent game that will keep you entertained for hours on end. If you have not played it, I highly recommend doing so – especially now with the Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition available.

all you need to know about the most famous and trending wordle game

Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat?

Dying Light 2 includes lots of crafting and collecting, much like Fallout or most RPG games. Some of it is simply commodities that you may sell back to the local businesses, while other portions are vital for your survival, such as weapons upgrading or toolmaking like lockpicks.

There are a number of blueprints to choose from or buy to make things easier for you. These blueprints may also be upgraded as you go, making your home-brewed medication a little more powerful.

I know not everyone enjoys playing games, but I found it to be helpful and not overwhelming in that the ingredients for the most frequent crafting goods.

It’s dangerous to go alone! Take this.

In this scenario, I’m talking about bringing a buddy or three with Link’s sword being ideal for surviving in the game. Dying Light 2 features co-op play for up to four players.

The game may be played entirely cooperatively from start to end. The host of the game decides where they are in the action, but the other players will retain their progression made during the co-op play.

There are several moments in the game where you must make a selection that will influence the final outcome.

Everyone may vote on these decisions in co-op mode, but the ultimate call is made by the host.

There are some significant drawbacks to co-op mode. You can’t play cross-platform, so hopefully, you’ve just made friends with PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC users like the console and PC wars intended.

It’s even more aggressive at launch than it is right now because you can’t play co-op between generations; no PS4-owning friends for PS5 owners either. Techland will address this in a future update but hasn’t offered a timeline yet.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human PC performance

I’ve been playing Dying Light 2: Stay Human on my Asus Zephyrus G14 (2020) with its Ryzen 9 processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q GPU, and 16GB of RAM, as well as my PS5.

I’ve spent considerably more time playing the game on PS5, especially given that I’m testing a 65-inch TCL TV with which I’m presently impressed how well it holds up, but the Zephyrus G14 did very well, and even 60 frames per second was no problem for it.

While another patch is coming to address In the Xbox and PlayStation 4 versions of Resident Evil 7, the game’s most pressing issues are resolved with buildings and foes occasionally disappearing into the environment.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human PC requirements

Here’s a look at what you’ll need in your PC to play Dying Light 2, whether you’re just trying to scrape by with the bare minimum requirements or if you want the best performance from the game.

For the optimum Dying Light 2 performance, ensure that your PC fulfills the following minimum requirements: Windows 7 with an Intel Core i3-9100 or AMD Ryzen 3 2300X CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 60GB hard drive.

For higher frame rates and greater image quality, use Windows 10 with an Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X CPU, 16GB of RAM, at least a 60GB SSD, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 6GB or AMD RX Vega 56 8GB graphics card.

If you want to use ray-tracing, things get a lot more challenging. Windows 10 with an Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X and at least 60GB of SSD space is required for 30 frames per second at FHD on low.

In FHD, on high-quality, you’ll need a Windows 10 PC with an Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU and 16GB of RAM, at least a 60GB SSD, and an Nvidia RTX 3080 GB with 10GB of VRAM.

Conclusion

The Dying Light 2: Stay Human isn’t reinventing the wheel, but it doesn’t need to; the original already did that. This would be the fifth version of the Dying Light series if this were the fifth installment, however, I’d want more of a change-up for a sequel.

As a result, there are infinitely many different endings to the game. The enormous open-world with compelling side objectives, as well as Techland’s promise to keep supporting Dying Light 2 for at least five years, make it an easy day one pick.

I’ve spent dozens of hours in and despite the torrent of games about to release, You’re now in a position to start thinking about what you’ll do after the release of Dying Light 2.
